Limits, troubleshooting & FAQ
Limits
- The hub does not edit contracts owned by CRM, Procurement, Field Service or Service Management; edit them in those apps.
- Standalone contracts use wet-ink signature recording; platform e-signature covers only supported sources.
- There is no dedicated obligations and milestones tracker yet.
FAQ
What stages does a contract go through? Draft → pending review → signed/active → renewal (or expiry). Each stage has a clear status so everyone knows where an agreement stands.
How does AI risk analysis work? The Contract Lifecycle assistant scans contract text for non-standard or risky clauses and surfaces them in the Pending Review queue and Risk Register, with an owner able to assess and mitigate each.
What’s the difference between a template and a clause? A template is a full contract skeleton for an agreement type; a clause is a single pre-approved block of language you insert. Templates use clauses.
Where do contracts from deals come from? From CRM. When a deal is won, a contract is generated in Contract Management carrying the counterparty, value, and terms so you start from a populated draft.
How are contracts signed? Through the E-Signatures integration. Approved contracts are routed for electronic signature and return as signed/active, with the Signature Steward chasing any pending signatories.
Will I be warned before a contract expires? Yes. The Overview and reports show renewals due, and the Contract Lifecycle assistant nudges owners before key dates so renewals are handled in time.
Do I have to re-enter contracts that already exist in CRM or Procurement? No. The hub reads them directly from the source apps.
Who can approve a legal review? A user with approval rights who is not the person who requested the review.
