Storage quota

Every company has a storage quota — a maximum total size for everything stored in Documents (including files created by other apps).

  1. Current usage and the quota limit are shown on /documents/overview and in /documents/settings, with a breakdown by top-level folder (Apps/Finance, Apps/HR, your manual folders, and so on) so you can see what’s actually consuming space.

  2. As usage approaches the quota, uploads continue to work but you’ll see a warning banner; once the quota is reached, new uploads and new versions are rejected until space is freed or the quota is increased.

  3. Free up space by permanently deleting files from Trash (see the FAQ below — soft-deleted files still count against quota until they’re purged) or by removing old versions of large files via Settings → Version Retention.

  4. Quota size is a subscription-level setting; contact your account admin or XBuddy support to increase it.
