Limits, troubleshooting & FAQ

How is Distribution different from Sales? Sales handles direct-to-customer transactions; Distribution manages a multi-tier channel — distributors, territory-based pricing, van sales, credit, and commissions — that sells your products onward.

Where does the stock come from? From Inventory. Lot registration posts stock via the stock ledger and returns are received back into stock. Van sales do not deduct stock yet.

Can each distributor have different pricing? Yes. Price lists can be specific to a distributor.

How does van sales reconciliation work? The rep records loaded goods, sales, and cash in the session, then closes it to reconcile. Sessions do not deduct stock or create invoices yet.

How are credit limits used? Each distributor has a credit limit; view outstanding balances and aging in Distribution → Credit.

Who earns commissions? Commissions are calculated monthly by distributor tier at fixed rates. Since distribution orders cannot be created yet, commissions are usually zero; marking them “paid” does not create a payment voucher.
