Advanced scheduling (WFM)
Workforce management adds sites, crews, coverage, swaps and pools on top of the basic roster.
When to use
Use this if your business runs shifts, sites or crews: restaurants, retail, clinics, security. It is optional and off by default; switch on only the parts you need and the matching menu items appear.
Before you start

people.wfm_*toggles, for examplepeople.wfm_sites,people.wfm_shift_patterns,people.wfm_demand_coverage,people.wfm_shift_swap,people.wfm_open_shifts,people.wfm_labor_pool. - Auto no-show (
people.wfm_auto_no_show, default off) marks a person absent after a grace period (default 60 minutes).
Turn on what you need
Enable the people.wfm_* toggles for the parts of scheduling you use.
Set up sites, crews and patterns
Add sites with a geofence, group employees into crews and define rotation patterns.
Plan, publish and adjust
Build the roster, check coverage against demand, publish it, and let staff confirm shifts or request swaps.

The base roster (/time-tracking/roster) and schedules (/time-tracking/schedules) do not need these toggles.
Tips & common mistakes
- Start with sites and patterns; add coverage and swaps once the roster works.
- A site geofence is checked first when someone clocks in at that site.
- Lock a week once published so assignments stop changing.
- Agency timesheets can generate a bill in Finance.
